Make Room for Kids in the Kitchen

Kids in the kitchen have become quite competitive between the toddlers and I say that in a very humourous way, let me explain. I’m walking down the hallway, I noticed the kitchen is quite busy with parents and caregivers guiding their children in following simple instructions in making muffins. The kitchen is at its max, limited to a few numbers of families; then, as I glanced over in the drop In, there is a crowd of smaller children tugging on their parents hands excited to get into the kitchen as well. And if you were there, if you could only see the look on those children faces, just so serious and determined to get into the kitchen too.
It was very outstanding however, it just goes to show how kids in the kitchen have grown and it’s a time where both parents and children learn and have a moment to share together with guidance and safety but also a time where capacity is built in confidence, cooperation, and growth.
There’s a sense of completion especially when those delicious great smelling muffins come out of the oven! What more can I say, it’s not just fun happening with the kids in the kitchen, it’s the parents too!
