Our Community Board are local volunteers who represent the interests and priorities of the neighbourhood.

Initial involvement often begins as children in preschool and daycare programs who grow into youth programs and then volunteer while in nearby high schools.

Youth positions on the board are reserved to provide experience and skills in board governance and decision-making.

This model has provided continuity and stability to the board structure while also building capacity in succeeding generations of young future leaders. Past youth board members are now leading the Board while also mentoring the next generation of high school representatives.
