This time of year is one of the most precious time when it comes to transplanting, growing and caring for kale. It is such a versatile vegetable, it’s known as king of vegetables because of its high potency values. It makes a great smoothie, it’s great in a salad or a stir-fry and it freezes really well when you have an abundance of it! I will be sending more information about kale and happy that you’re interested in the possibilities of eating more of it or perhaps you’re trying it for the first time ? The reason we do this for the community is so that we can grow in an abundance and bring it back to the gardeners hang out and share to others hoping to inspire people to eat more of it; and, when they learn how delicious kale is and all its incredible nutritional values it contributes to a healthy lifestyle, community will grow more of a required taste and appreciation for it too!

Mixed good soil in a tub, very gently we handled the seedlings, they were so fragile..
Our baby seedlings to transfer to bigger pots, as we prepared them to transplant in the garden
Good size mini pots to transplant the kale seedlings
Lined them up against the fence for protection and a good sunny spot
They were in a little bit of shock but with a little love, patience and sunshine they grew stronger
We used a combination of sea soil Loaded with nitrogen
And mushroom manure, great for drainage
They have been now transplanted in the garden. Can’t wait to see them grow, can’t wait for kale smoothies soooon!
