Adjusting to life in Canada? These workshop series support the transition with information to help newcomers understand and integrate more smoothly into culture, employment, parenting, and local school and health systems.
Employment Workshops
These workshops provide information on employment resources in Canada, Canadian Workplace Culture, Resume, Cover Letter, interviews, and more.
- A follow-up 1-1 session is available upon request for a customized resume, cover letter and mock interview.
- Childminding service is available
- Sessions are available in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Dari/Farsi, throughout the year
- Eligibility: Permanent Residents, Work Permit Holders, Refugees, Refugee Claimants & Naturalized Citizens.
Connecting with Indigenous Peoples & Culture
A 6 part series of cultural workshops to help newcomers to gain foundational knowledge about the history of colonization in Canada. Learn about Indigenou culture and concepts such as the Medicine Wheel, and come for experiential learning through fun art workshops and fieldtrips!
Sessions are in English with translation in Mandarin and Cantonese
