Traditionally, we would be celebrating special occasions by sharing different arts and crafts in the drop-in program. In the midst of a pandemic, we still would like to spread our love and keep on the connection by providing special edition arts and craft packages to the families we serve.
With the three major celebrations in February this year, we came up with three separate arts and craft ideas for families to continue celebrating at home!
For Lunar New Year, we provided materials to make two beautiful paper lanterns.
For Valentine’s Day, we inspired families to make two heart-warming suncatchers.
For Family Day, we encouraged families to make a handprint tree, leaving behind everyone’s actual handprints to remember what a special year 2021 has been!
We hope to keep families connected through circle time on zoom as well as those arts and craft packages. Pandemic or not, Family Program staff is always around to support the community <3
