2012 Applications are now available!

Do you live in the Cedar Cottage, Frog Hollow or Kiwassa neighbourhoods?  Do you have great ideas to improve your neighbourhood or bring people together, but need a little support to help make them happen?

Then you might want to apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant!

What are Neighbourhood Small Grants?

How would you like to make your neighbourhood a better place?
如何能夠令您的社區更加美好?
¿Como le gustaría hacer su barrio un lugar mejor?
Bạn mong muốn làm nhà Cộng Đồng của khu phố bạn tốt hơn như thế nào?
Papaano mo gustong gawing isang mas magandang lugar ang iyong kapitbahayan?

Neighbourhood Small Grants are funded by the Vancouver Foundation.  The grants allow groups of two or more neighbours to apply for $50 - $500 to work together on small projects that benefit their neighbourhoods socially, physically, culturally or environmentally.

A resident committee in each area reviews the applications and decides which ones will receive funding.  The Residents Committees of Cedar Cottage, Frog Hollow and Kiwassa Neighbourhood Houses believe that all neighbourhoods can be vibrant and safe places for the people who live there. One way to strengthen neighbourhoods is to build on the capacity of residents so that they can make a difference close to home!

Deadlines for submissions is April 30th, 2012.

Decisions about which projects will be funded will be made by May 15th. See our brochure for more details and application requirements. Due to limited funds, not all applicants will receive grants or the full amount requested.
